How can I find out which Microsoft Windows version I am using?

To find out which particular version of the Windows operating system you have, proceed as follows:

  1. Highlight the My computer icon on your desktop, then click the right mouse button.

  2. Select Properties from the menu displayed.

  3. Your exact Windows version should be indicated under the General tab, below System.
